Online master's degree in India: MBA, MCA, M.Com, MA and M.Sc fees (2026)

After graduation you can earn a two-year master’s degree online while you keep working. An online MBA, MCA, M.Com, MA or M.Sc from a UGC-DEB entitled university carries the same validity as a regular degree for jobs, promotions, government recruitment, NET and a later PhD. Who can apply

• Online MBA: a bachelor’s degree in any stream. Most universities ask for 50%, a few accept lower, and none needs work experience. See Online MBA eligibility.
• Online MCA: a bachelor’s degree, usually with Mathematics or Computer Science at graduation or in Class 12. See Online MCA eligibility for the universities that are more flexible.
• Online M.Com: a B.Com or a related commerce degree.
• Online MA: a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Online M.Sc: a relevant bachelor’s degree, for example Mathematics for an M.Sc in Mathematics.

Is an online master’s degree valid?

Yes, when the university is UGC-DEB entitled for that programme in your admission year. Under the UGC 2020 regulations, an online degree is equivalent to a regular degree for employment, government jobs and further study, including NET and PhD admissions.
