An MBA in IT and systems management is for people who run technology work: software projects, IT systems, vendors and the teams behind them. Universities list it as IT, Information Systems or IT Management. It is a management course, so you don’t need a computer science degree. Eighteen UGC-DEB entitled universities offer it online. Total fees start at ₹80,200 at Galgotias University and go up to ₹3,70,000 at Symbiosis (SSODL), as checked in October 2026.

What the IT track teaches
You study the usual MBA core of accounting, economics, strategy and marketing. The IT papers cover management information systems, IT project management, enterprise systems such as ERP, IT strategy and governance, cybersecurity management and e-business. The focus is on managing technology, projects and teams. Programming is not the main subject.

What to compare
- Entitlement: confirm the MBA and the current session are listed at deb.ugc.ac.in. Every Indian university above is entitled.
- Syllabus and timings: check the IT papers on offer and whether live classes fit your work hours.
- Total cost: include exam and registration charges, and any early-bird or upfront discount.
- The university’s name: decide whether the employers you are aiming for care about it. If they don’t, a lower-fee university gives you the same validity.
