Online MBA in business analytics: fees, universities & careers (2026)

Business analytics is the MBA track for people who want to use data to make business decisions: reading sales and cost figures, building dashboards and spotting what the numbers point to. Some universities call it Data Science instead. Twenty-two UGC-DEB entitled universities offer it online, from ₹80,200 at Galgotias University to ₹3,70,000 at Symbiosis (SSODL). We checked each fee on the university’s own website in October 2026.

These are published online MBA fees. A few universities charge more for some specialisations, and application or exam fees can be extra, so ask for the full fee for the analytics track before you pay. Subjects in the analytics track

You still do the core MBA subjects, such as accounting, economics, strategy and marketing. On top of that come business statistics, Excel and SQL, data visualisation in tools like Power BI or Tableau, predictive modelling and decision making from data. Basic maths and statistics will help. You don’t need to know programming before you join, as most programmes teach it from the start.

Most people study while keeping their job, so the usual aim is a promotion at work or a move into a related role. There are no campus placement drives in an online MBA. Most universities do offer career support, help with your resume and access to a job portal.

What to look at before applying

1. UGC-DEB entitlement: look up the MBA and the current session at deb.ugc.ac.in. Every Indian university in this table is entitled.
2. The analytics syllabus: see which tools are taught, and whether live classes fit around your work hours.
3. The full fee: add exam and registration charges, then take off any early-bird or upfront discount.
4. How much the university’s name matters to the employers you have in mind. If it doesn’t, a lower-fee university gives you a degree that is just as valid.

Can I change my specialisation later?

At most universities you choose or confirm it in the second year, and some allow a dual specialisation. Rules vary, so ask before you enrol.
