Online BCA eligibility & EMI: every university compared (2026)
Most of these 21 UGC-entitled universities accept any Class 12 stream for the online BCA, with total fees from ₹70,000 to ₹1,75,000.
Most online BCA programmes take students from any Class 12 stream, so you don’t need Maths or Computer Science to apply. The one to watch is Manipal University Jaipur, which may ask for one of the two in some intakes. Across the 21 UGC-entitled universities here, the full three-year fee runs from ₹70,000 at Mangalayatan to ₹1,75,000 at Amity. Fees, payment options and entry rules were checked on university websites in October 2026.
What you need to apply
The basic requirement is Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board. If you are applying to Manipal University Jaipur, ask if your intake needs Maths or Computer Science.
- No entrance exam: admission is on your previous marks.
- No upper age limit is usual for online degrees, but check with the university if it matters to you.
- Documents: Class 10 and 12 marksheets, photo ID such as Aadhaar, and a passport-size photo.

EMI or semester payments?
Semester payments involve no loan, so you skip the credit check and the processing fee. A monthly EMI is easier on a monthly budget, but it is a loan from a finance partner. Ask about any processing fee, and keep up the payments, since a missed EMI shows on your credit score. Some universities take money off for paying in full, so compare that price with the EMI total. BCA admission questions
Can I do an online BCA without Maths in Class 12?
Yes, at most universities here, since they accept any stream. Manipal University Jaipur may ask for Maths or Computer Science, so check there.
Can I do an online MCA after an online BCA?
Yes. A BCA from a UGC-DEB entitled university meets the usual MCA requirement, for an online or a campus MCA.
Is an online BCA good for an IT job?
It is a recognised degree. For IT jobs, build projects and a portfolio too, since they count as much as the degree.
