Cheapest UGC-entitled online MBA in India: 2026 fee list

The 17 cheapest UGC-entitled online MBAs in India cost between ₹67,000 and ₹1,65,000 for the full programme.

An online MBA from a UGC-DEB entitled university has the same legal standing as a regular MBA, and that is true whether it costs ₹67,000 or ₹3.7 lakh. So the fee is a place where you can save without losing recognition. Of the 17 lowest-fee programmes here, Mangalayatan is the cheapest at ₹67,000 with everything included, and Chandigarh University is the most expensive at ₹1,65,000. Fees come from each university’s website and were checked in October 2026.

What you pay if you clear the fee upfront

Some of these fees drop if you pay at the start, and a few already include everything. The lowest totals are:

  • Mangalayatan: ₹67,000, with tuition, exam and registration fees included
  • Graphic Era: ₹80,000, paid as ₹40,000 a year, all included
  • Galgotias: ₹80,200, all included, paid yearly
  • GLA: ₹99,000 instead of ₹1,03,000
  • Uttaranchal: ₹99,600 in one go or yearly with the 30% early-bird scholarship, which it has offered for the last two years (₹1,03,600 by semester; list price ₹1,48,000)
  • Kurukshetra: ₹1,02,000 in one go or by semester, registration included
  • Sikkim Manipal: ₹1,08,000 however you pay, after the current 10% offer for all applicants (list price ₹1,20,000)

Early-bird and upfront offers can change from one intake to the next, so check the current one before the deadline.

Does a cheaper MBA count for less?

For most working people, no. The degree’s validity for jobs, promotions, government exams and further study comes from UGC-DEB entitlement, and every university in this table has it. A higher fee mostly buys a better-known name and a larger alumni network, which can matter in fields like consulting or at large corporates. If you need the degree for eligibility or a promotion, these universities give the same recognition for roughly half of what NMIMS (₹2,20,000) or Amity (₹2,25,000) charge.

Other ways to cut the cost

  • Pay the full fee upfront where a discount is offered, often 5 to 15%.
  • Apply before the early-bird deadline for the January or July intake.
  • Use no-cost EMI to spread the fee. Most universities offer it through finance partners.
  • Ask your employer about tuition reimbursement. Many companies pay part of the cost of a recognised MBA.
