Online MBA scholarships and fee discounts in India (2026)
Discounts on 15 online MBAs save between ₹4,000 and ₹70,000, and the lowest price after a discount is ₹99,000 at GLA.
In online MBA admissions, a “scholarship” is usually a fee discount. It can be an early-bird offer for applying before a deadline, a lower price for paying the whole fee at once, or a concession for groups such as defence personnel and government employees. Across the 15 UGC-entitled online MBAs that publish one, the saving runs from ₹4,000 at GLA University to ₹70,000 at Shoolini University. Universities rarely spell these out, so we collected them from official sources in October 2026.

The table runs from the lowest price you can pay to the highest. Shoolini University (₹70,000), Chandigarh University (₹55,000) and Symbiosis (SSODL) (₹55,000) give the largest savings. Concessions for defence, government staff and others
- Defence and armed forces: NMIMS gives a 20% fee concession to Armed Forces, Defence and Paramilitary personnel and their immediate family. Manipal University Jaipur and Amity University have defence scholarships too.
- Government employees: Manipal University Jaipur lists a scholarship for government employees. See also Online MBA for government employees.
- Persons with disabilities (Divyaang): Manipal University Jaipur and Amity University.
- Merit: Amity University, Manipal University Jaipur and Chandigarh University give merit or profile-based scholarships.
- Financial need: Amity University runs ISAT, a scholarship test for financially weaker students. It also lists sports and alumni scholarships.
- Work experience: Symbiosis (SSODL) charges ₹3,15,000 instead of ₹3,70,000 if you have two or more years of work experience.
How much a group scholarship is worth depends on your category and the proof you can show, such as a service certificate, a disability certificate or your marksheets. Get the exact amount in writing before you apply.

Paying later or in instalments
- Pay after placement: Shoolini University lets eligible students put off part of the fee until they are placed.

- Annual payment: paying once a year instead of every semester costs slightly less at some universities, including Uttaranchal University and GLA University.
Four ways to pay less
- Apply before the early-bird deadline for the January or July intake. Two of the bigger discounts here, at Uttaranchal University and Chandigarh University, are early-bird offers.
- Pay upfront if you can. Upfront discounts usually don’t apply if you take EMI, so compare both totals.
- Claim your category. If you serve in defence, work in government or hold a disability certificate, ask which concession applies before you pay.
- Get the offer in writing, with the final amount and the date it expires.

Yes. Most universities give an early-bird or upfront-payment discount, and several have scholarships for defence personnel, government employees, persons with disabilities and students with good marks.

Does a scholarship change the degree?
No. It only changes what you pay. The degree, its UGC entitlement and its validity for jobs and further study stay the same.
