Online MCA fees in India 2026: every university compared
A two-year online MCA costs between ₹67,000 and ₹2,20,000 at the 24 universities compared here.
An online MCA is mainly for graduates who want a master’s that moves them into software, data or IT roles. Over two years, Mangalayatan University charges ₹67,000 and Manipal (MAHE) charges ₹2,20,000. The other 22 universities sit between those two, and seven of the 24 cost under ₹1 lakh. Every one is UGC-DEB entitled, so the online MCA is treated like a campus MCA for jobs, government exams and further study. Each fee was checked on the university’s website in October 2026.

Paying in one go
GLA, DY Patil Pune, SRM and Amity all cut the price for a single full payment:
- GLA University: ₹88,000 instead of ₹92,000
- DY Patil Pune: ₹1,30,000 instead of ₹1,40,000
- SRM: ₹1,50,000 + GST instead of ₹1,60,000
- Amity: ₹1,83,080 instead of ₹1,99,000

Eligibility
You need a bachelor’s degree, usually with Mathematics in Class 12 or in graduation. If your degree isn’t in computing, some universities ask you to do a bridge course. Minimum marks vary, so check the programme page.
Who usually enrols
- BCA, B.Sc and other graduates heading into software, data or IT jobs
- IT staff who need a master’s for promotion or to meet eligibility rules
- People changing careers who want a recognised computing degree while keeping their job
Specialisations on offer include AI and Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Full Stack Development. The fee for a specialisation may not match the base MCA fee.
What a higher fee pays for
A higher fee does not make the degree more valid. Validity comes from UGC-DEB entitlement, which every Indian university in this table has. The extra money usually goes on a better-known name, a larger alumni network or a better online platform.
