The School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi — established in 1962 as the School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education — is the open and distance learning arm of the University of Delhi, a premier central university. SOL is one of India’s oldest and largest distance-education institutions, serving lakhs of learners with degrees awarded by the University of Delhi itself. It has expanded into UGC-DEB-approved online programmes (via its Centre for Online & Distance Education) and offers the prestige of a Delhi University degree at very low cost, with direct (non-CUET) admission to most programmes.
